May 11, 2024 New Delhi: In an inspiring initiative to promote the benefits of yoga and holistic health, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), and the Council of Royal Roots, has launched a 41-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga. This event is being held at the luxurious Radisson Blu Resort in Goa, providing a perfect blend of serene ambiance and holistic wellness practices.
Celebrated annually on June 21st, the International Day of Yoga highlights yoga's profound impact on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Recognized by the United Nations, this day aims to raise awareness about the manifold benefits of practicing yoga and encourages people worldwide to incorporate it into their daily routines.
The 41-day countdown at Radisson Blu Resort in Goa is more than just a prelude to a global celebration; it is a transformative experience aimed at fostering a deeper connection with yoga and its benefits. Through this collaborative effort, FHRAI, the Ministry of Ayush, MDNIY, and the Council of Royal Roots are promoting wellness and honoring the rich cultural legacy of yoga. This event showcases the power of collaboration in achieving a common goal: a healthier, more harmonious world.
"Yoga is about bringing ease from disease, where ease brings smiles and light-heartedness. It’s a journey within oneself, fostering self-awareness and empowerment. Just as iconic figures like Narendra Modi Ji, Baba Ramdev, Abdul Kalam, and sportsmen have exemplified, yoga leads to success by uplifting our mental and physical states. Through its practice, we harness creativity, confidence, and optimism. Let’s embrace yoga with gratitude, for it holds the key to a balanced and fulfilled life,” said Dr. Mickey Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director of Healdhee Pvt. Ltd. – 360° Holistic Health Healing.

“In today’s world, where education often takes precedence over physical activity, it’s crucial to recognize the importance of harmonizing mind, body, and soul. Yoga offers a pathway to achieve this balance, serving as a daily practice that nurtures holistic well-being. By integrating yoga into our lives, we not only enhance our physical health but also cultivate mental clarity and spiritual awareness. This integration enables us to bring out our fullest potential, bridging the gap between academic pursuits and grounded wisdom. I extend my gratitude to FHRAI for inviting me to be a part of this enlightening event, highlighting the significance of this timeless practice,” said Avantika Tokas Midha, Vice Chairperson of the Council of Royal Roots.
"Yoga is not just a practice; it’s a remedy for the body, mind, and soul. Its healing power surpasses even the most potent prescriptions. Let’s embrace yoga as a daily ritual, fostering physical strength, mental serenity, and spiritual balance. Today, as we gather amidst esteemed guests and partners, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Together, let’s cultivate this healthful habit, enriching our lives and communities. Thank you all for your presence and dedication to wellness,” said Ajith Nair, Resident Manager of Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach.
This event sets the stage for the upcoming Yoga Mahotsav 2024, highlighting this year's theme, 'Yoga for Women Empowerment,' which emphasizes yoga's role in boosting women's confidence and empowerment.
